Beyond Mere Geekery

So, I’ve got my office PC running Linux talking to my Palm T/X over bluetooth (talk about sentences that couldn’t have existed 5 years ago).

And, it’s pretty civilized. I can connect to the web and surf on the T/X with a much higher stability and loading time than I get sitting in a WiFi cafe. The one wrinkle appears to be loading files into my SD-RAM card instead of built-in memory. As far as I can tell there’s no way I can do that using pilot-xfer, though pilot-xfer seems to be working well otherwise.

So, I’m going to try a little experiment. The web client on the Palm T/X works fine for downloading files. And there’s some ebooks I just generated using Sunrise, and it would be nice to be able to read them on the way home tonight.

Here goes:

If you have a Palm T/X and have installed the plucker viewer, you can play along , too.
