Quirky Off-Hand Remark of the Day Save Template Changes.

First, a little context. Earlier today Reid called the Senate into a closed door session to argue that the second part of the Senate Intelligence report, the one that was delayed until after the 2004 election, should proceed.

So, Trent Lott, who would be the majority leader right now if not for his support of Jesse Helms and all that Helms stood for, says:

“… Reid’s move violated the Senate’s tradition of courtesy and consent.”

ROTFLMAO. Maybe as Frist invokes the nukular option Lott can remind him of the “Senate’s tradition of courtesy and consent.”

Oops. Meant Strom Thurmond, not Jesse Helms. Which one of them was the racist? I can’t remember.
